A dryer that tumbles but leaves clothes damp is often an airflow problem, a heat source problem, or both. Electric dryers and gas dryers heat differently, so the brand and fuel type matter before the visit. Long dry times, a burning smell, or no heat at all are reasons to stop running the machine and have it checked.
We look at the lint path, the heating circuit or gas ignition, the drum movement, and sensors that can shut the heat off early. If the vent itself is packed with lint, cleaning the vent is sometimes the real fix, and sometimes the dryer also needs a repair. We will say which one we are seeing.
